Fifth National Synod

June 12-15, 2006

Dear Friends,

This year the UACC celebrates its fourth anniversary on July 1^st and our fifth National Synod. This is year the Synod will be held at Little Portion Friary in Mount Sinai, New York. If you have not been there, the friars have a beautiful place with a large labyrinth, grounds worthy of a saint so tied to ecology and a chapel that resonates peace; I look forward to sharing it with you. The Synod will be open this time to our Intercommunion Partners as well as the laity. The guest house has room for 16 which is reserved for UACC Clergy and Seminarians first and then guests, but there should be room for several guests. If we need them there are a few guest rooms in the friary as well.

Cost of the Synod if you are staying on site will be $200.00 which covers lodging, all meals and handouts. We also have a price per day for people staying off site which includes food and handouts. Please check out the registration form for more details. If you are unable (or able) to attend but wish to contribute we do accept donations for the Synod Scholarship which helps clergy or seminarians with financial hardship to attend the Synod. This year we will also present an Icon to the Friars as a way of saying thanks for which your contributions are appreciated.

The Synod will cover three days. We will meet at the friary late the evening of the 12^th with the Synod commencing early the 13^th with a day of retreat. June 14^th will be a day of workshops with the 15^th our business meeting.
